Emotional scales reflect the level of feelings. They help to climb the next and better level. Feelings in that roaster are not to be evaluated in good or bad. This assessment would be highly individualized, because hate may be a useful and good feeling for the person concerned. A problem occurs where this person glues in it. It will be good, if that feeling is just seen a step to climb the next better feeling. In that scale of feelings we can step from unpleasant to pleasant feelings, knowing that the worst thing that can happen to us is a bad feeling.

Consequently, the best thing that can happen to us is a good feeling. As the following scale shows below, the good feeling is associated with strength and energy. It makes us strong, it empowers and makes us resistant.

No power, no force

  • depression,
  • despair,
  • sadness, guilt,
  • fear, uncertainty,
  • jealousy, anger, hate, rage,
  • worry and doubt,
  • disappointment, frustration and impatience,
  • pessimism,
  • boredom,
  • satisfaction,
  • hope, optimism,
  • anticipation (expected joy),
  • enthusiasm, passion,
  • knowledge, joy, appreciation, freedom,

Power, force

Feelings can be changed. Now the big question remains, can I convert my feelings into something that let me feel strength and power? The answer is: yes we can. Just climb the ladder 😉
